Resilience Week and more

Resilience Week is October 8-12

The forward-thinking practices and technologies presented and discussed at the Disaster Disabled | Resilience Reinvented summit at the Pearl Stable were exciting and thought-provoking. In fact, the conversations inspired us to follow up with a community call to action with Resilience Week, October 8-12.

Join the community-wide #satxresilience social media conversation to hear perspectives on how local organizations are planning, testing, and implementing their resilience plans. This effort wouldn’t be possible without the vision and leadership from our Resiliency Week Task Force that includes representatives from OCI Solar Power, CPS Energy, the City of San Antonio, the San Antonio Economic Development Foundation, and Go Smart Solar. A special thank you goes out to David McGee of Amegy Bank for being our “champion” in this conversation and for Mayor Ron Nirenberg for an official proclamation about Resilience Week.  Watch for news about the proclamation Some of the organizations already committed to participating include Brooks, Methodist Healthcare System, Pape-Dawson Engineers, Rackspace, the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce, San Antonio Water System and Texas Capital Bank.  Join us!

Global Lecture Series I

Global Lecture Series

The first-ever event in our Global Lecture Series was a resounding success. We were so pleased to welcome Dr. Lynn Abramson, President of the Clean Energy Business Network, to the Geekdom Event Center for some insights about how San Antonio is well positioned to leverage new economic opportunities around renewable energy. President and CEO of CPS Energy Paula Gold-Williams joined Dr. Abramson in a lively Q&A discussion.  This first Lecture was generously sponsored by Davidson Troilo Ream & Garza.

Thank You to Davidson Troilo Ream & Garza for Sponsoring Our First Global Lecture Series
